Detection of Runout Due to Chucking Failure

When a workpiece is chucked, particles are sometimes trapped between the workpiece and chuck, resulting in improper chucking. The sensor-to-workpiece distance is monitored while the workpiece is being rotated. The RD Series analog sensor controller calculates the runout and compares it with the internal preset value to detect trapped debris.

Torch Height Control

The EX-V Series sensor is used to monitor the distance between the torch and workpiece. When the distance is too long (short), the sensor outputs a positive (negative) voltage in proportion to the measured distance.

Checking the Orientation of Aluminum/Steel Cans

The EX-V Series checks the orientation of cans on a conveyor in order to prevent missing print. The auto-zero function of the EX-500 Series completes a reference setting simply by pressing the ZERO key. Sensitivity adjustment is unnecessary, even if the material is changed from aluminum to steel, or vice versa.
