KV Series
1. Q: What is the communication cable part# for the KV 10-80 "brick" series PLC's to connect to your computer (RJ-11 to 9 pin)?
A: OP- 26486 and OP-26487.

2. Q: Can we send and receive text out of the KV 10-80 serial communication port?
A: We can only receive text into the communications port, we cannot transmit.

3. Q: What are the communication parameters of the serial port?
A: The communication parameters are 9600 baud rate, 8 bits, Even parity, and 1 stop bit.

4. Q: How fast can I count incoming pulse in to the KV 10-80 series?
A: This series has two high speed counters rated at 10KHz, which means you can count a pulse every 100us.

5. Q: What is the maximum I/O I can have with the KV 10-80?
A: The maximum I/O that I can have with the KV 10-80 is 128 I/O.

6. Q: What is the difference between a KV-XXT and a KV-XXR?
A: All of the KV's in the KV 10-80 series can have either a T at the end of their name (meaning Transistor outputs) or a R (meaning Relay outputs).

7. Q: What are the high speed inputs rated at for the KV 10-80?
A: The input response time is decreased to 25us whenever the HSP command is used in the KV 10-80.

8. Q: What is the fastest stepper motor output I can send out of the KV 10-80?
A: The fastest stepper motor out is 20 KHz with the KV-80. With the other models (KV 10-40) the highest is 2KHz.

9. Q: How many interrupts does the KV 10-80 have?
A: 4 interrupts for each KV.
