    Simplicity of Design

    Unlike conventional microscopes that require numerous devices and controls
    for operation, the BZ-X700 merely requires you to turn it on. Everything else, from adjusting
    the lenses, filters, lighting, and stage movement can be done with just the mouse.

    Conventional microscopes require users to adjust a multitude of settings in order to capture an adequate image of a particular area. These adjustments can be complicated and difficult for users with little experience to operate.

    The BZ-X Series can be operated entirely through the software.

  • Imaging a multi-well plate is
    as simple as placing it on the stage.

    A stage travel distance of 100 mm x 64 mm allows users to navigate to any other location on the plate with just a single click of the mouse.
    For slides and dishes, stage inserts are provided to hold up to 3 containers, or a general purpose sample holder can be used.

    Easily capture high-resolution images without the blurring caused by out-of-focus fluorescent signals. Optical sectioning allows the user to obtain images comparable to those captured on a laser confocal microscope, but in a fraction of the time and without the damaging effects of a laser.

    SECTIONING ALGORITHM

    Excitation light is projected in a grid pattern onto only the focused areas of a specimen. These focused sections are then combined to create a clear image that is free of out-of-focus fluorescence. Since this doesn’t require the use of any lasers or high intensity illumination, damage to the sample is minimized.

    When viewing high magnification, high-resolution images, it is often necessary to expand the viewing area beyond a single field-of-view.

  • HIGH-ACCURACY QUANTIFICATION
    HYBRID CELL COUNT

    KEYENCE’s original algorithm allows accurate quantification even for phase contrast images of cultured cells. The area of interest can be extracted and quantified quickly and accurately from phase contrast, bright field, and fluorescence images. This easy-to-use software allows for repeatable, user-independent results.

    MACRO CELL COUNT

    Once the appropriate measurement parameters are set for a single image, the same conditions can be saved and applied to multiple images. This drastically reduces the amount of time needed for measurement while improving data reliability by eliminating variations in measurement conditions.
