The LumiTrax vision system uses our newly developed ultra high-speed camera and ultra high-speed segmented lighting to capture the target workpiece. This imaging method takes multiple images, lit from different directions, to create shape (surface irregularities) and texture (pattern) images. This makes it possible to eliminate workpiece variations and environmental influences that prevent stable surface inspections, enabling anyone to perform imaging easily—a task that conventionally required large amounts of time and experience.
By taking pictures at different lighting angles and using light to cast shadows you can combine the photos to create one single image.

By implementing an inspection method that supports changes for better defect detection.
Factors such as remaining cleaning agent, dirt, and minor hairline fractures are filtered out so that only deep defects such as scratches and chips are detected.
Glare, which negatively affects inspections, is eliminated to enable stable inspections.
From a random casting surface, the embossed or engraved characters with greater concave-convex information are emphasized.
