To confirm the sensor's version, use IV2-Navigator or the IV2-CP50.
Using the IV2-CP50 to confirm the version
Connect the sensor.
Turn on the menu display on the operation screen, and then tap [Sensor Setup].
Tap [Sensor Advanced].
Tap [Sensor Information].
Using IV2-Navigator to confirm the version
Connect the sensor, and then start IV2-Navigator.
Click [Advanced Settings] on the main screen.
Click [Sensor Information].
Necessary preparations:
Use IV2-Navigator or the IV2-CP50 to update the sensor.
Using the IV2-CP50 to perform the update
An IV2-CP50 that can connect to the sensor
A USB memory stick
Using IV2-Navigator to perform the update
A PC that can connect to the sensor and on which IV2-Navigator is installed
Note:
Do not turn the device off while it is being updated. Also, do not disconnect cables between devices or remove the USB memory stick. Doing so may lead to malfunctions.
After the update is complete, all the setting data and image history data on the sensor will be deleted. Back up all the required setting data and image history data to a USB memory stick or a PC in advance. After the update is complete, the setting data can be transmitted back to the sensor to restore the original settings.
Ensure that the version of the control panel (the IV2-CP50) to connect to or of IV2-Navigator (IV2-H1) is R1.20.** or later version.
Update process:
1. Download the update file.
Create a new folder on the hard disk.
Click “Download” on the download site. The “File Download” dialog box will be displayed.
Click “Save.” The “Save As” dialog box will be displayed.
Specify the folder created in (1) as the “Save Location,” and then click “Save.” The update file is downloaded.
Right-click the downloaded update file, and then click “Extract All...” The “Extract Compressed (Zipped) Folders” window is displayed. To specify the destination folder, click “Browse” and specify the location where the extracted file will be saved.
Click “Extract” to start the extraction.
When the file is successfully extracted, the following file is created within the specified folder. Depending on the PC settings, the extension may not be displayed.
IV2-G_SENSOR_UPDATE.BIN
2-A Update the sensor. (Using the IV2-CP50 to perform the update)
Copy the created file to the USB memory stick.
Connect the USB memory stick to the PC and open the drive of the USB memory stick.
Copy the created file (IV2-G_SENSOR_UPDATE.BIN) to the root folder of the USB memory stick. The root folder is the first folder opened when accessing the USB memory stick. If the USB memory stick is the E drive, the folder is “E:\.”
Remove the USB memory stick from the PC.
Connect the sensor and the IV2-CP50.
Connect the USB memory stick to the IV2-CP50.
Turn on the menu display on the operation screen, and then tap [Sensor Setup]. Stop operation.
Tap [Sensor Advanced].
Tap the [Initialize/Update] tab, and then tap [Update Sensor].
Check the number of the current version displayed on the screen against the number of the new version.
If there are no problems, tap [OK].
A confirmation screen is displayed. If there are no problems, tap [OK]. The update will begin.
When the update complete screen is displayed, the update process is complete. Remove the USB memory stick, and then tap [OK].
2-B Update the sensor. (Using IV2-Navigator to perform the update)
Connect the sensor and the PC, and then start IV2-Navigator.
Stop operation and display the [Program] main screen.
Click [Advanced Settings].
Click the [Initialize/Update] tab, and then click [Update Sensor].
On the [Open File] screen, select the created file (IV2-G_SENSOR_UPDATE.BIN), and then click [Open].
Check the number of the current version displayed on the screen against the number of the new version.
If there are no problems, click [Yes].
A confirmation screen is displayed. If there are no problems, click [OK]. The update will begin.
When the update complete screen is displayed, the update process is complete. Click [OK] to close the screen.
