Large stage accommodates well plates
A large motorized XY stage is integrated within the main unit and is capable of supporting multi-well plates or flasks. Specially-designed specimen holders are also provided to house mutiple slides or dishes simultaneously, increasing throughput and experiment efficiency.
Pre-specified layouts for slides, dishes, and well plates are stored within the BZ-X. Users can select the map that corresponds to the specimen container being used, and then navigate across their specimen by clicking on the area of the map. This makes it much easier to locate your position on a specimen and dramatically reduces the time required for position adjustments. Just place the specimen(s) on the stage and instantly navigate to the area you want to view.
Perfect for screening
By double-clicking a well, the stage immediately navigates to the center of the selected well, and each well on the schematic can be color-coded for easy identification of its contents. Using the Multi-Point Function, up to 99 coordinate points can be saved and later captured with a single click.
Capture high-resolution images while minimizing photobleaching
Built-in high-sensitivity cooled monochrome camera
The high-sensitivity CCD enables low-noise imaging of weak fluorescent signals and minimizes photobleaching by reducing the intensity of excitation light required for capturing a clear image. This is particularly useful when imaging live cells or other sensitive samples.
Cooled CCD camera
Even when a CCD is not being exposed to any light, dark current signals are being generated and create unwanted noise in an image. This noise is largely temperature dependent, increasing as a CCD gets warmer. The Peltier-cooled CCD in the BZ-X is cooled to 25°C below the ambient temperature to achieve high-sensitivity imaging with little noise.
Observe longer wavelength fluorescent signals
The monochrome CCD camera is able to capture fluorescent labels in the near-infrared wavelength range at 700 nm and higher. The high sensitivity also allows for imaging of cells located in deep tissue layers.
Supports brightfield and multi-color fluorescence observation
One-click monochrome/color switching
Switching to 3CCD color imaging is easily performed with just a single click of a mouse. The camera can capture high-definition images with excellent color reproducibility. Monochrome mode is suitable for high-sensitivity, high-resolution observation while color mode is used for brightfield imaging or to observe fluorescent signals excited at multiple wavelengths simultaneously. Regardless of the application, this microscope adjusts to meet any need.
