CV-1xx Series
Q: What is the repeatability of the CV series?
A: CV series is repeatable to 1 pixel

Q: How does one connect a push button switch to the CV-110 to be used as a trigger input?
A: Connect pin3 to pin26 and then connect one end of the push button to pin 5 and the other end to pin 28.

Q: Does CV-110 have any one shot outputs?
A: No, there are no one shot outputs. Outputs are NPN open collector or 9 bit binary outputs.

Q: What is the length of the camera to controller cable?
A: it is 3 meters in length.

Q: Is the camera to controller cable extendible?
A: Yes, a 7m extension cable is available. (Part # OP-25525)

Q: What type of monitors should be used. Under scanning or over scanning?
A: Please use an under scanning monitor.

Q: How do I connect window output to a relay? e.g. W01
A: Please connect COM1 to 0VDC and connect W01 to relay. The other side of relay is connected to 24VDC.

Q: Is it possible to capture an image from the CV on a VHS cassette and save it?
A: Sure. Connect CV video out put to the video input of the VCR. Connect video output from the VCR to the video input of the monitor.

Q: Is it possible to save an image on the computer and place it in the CV's EEPROM?
A: No, that is not possible. CV's EEPROM is not accessible to external devices.

Q: What is the service life of the ring lamp?
A: 2000 hours approx.

Q: How long does the output remain on after CV is triggered?
A: It remains on till the next trigger input.

Q: When CV110 is switched from one program to the other, is it required to re-register the image.
A: In the CV110 it is required. But in the CV-130 it is not required as it can store multiple images.

CV-300 Series
Q: What is the repeatability of the CV-300 series?
A: CV series is repeatable to 1 pixel

Q: How may programs can be stored in the CV-300 series?
A: 16 programs can be stored in the CV-300

Q: How many images can be stored in the CV-300?
A: 16 images can be stored in the CV-300 but user has access to only 1 image.

Q: Is it possible to download images from the CV-300 to a computer?
A: Yes, it is possible. This way you can have an unlimited amount of images stored in your computer.

Q: Is it possible to store the whole program in a computer?
A: Yes, it is also possible.

Q: Does CV-300 have normally open and normally close outputs available?
A: Yes, normally open and normally close outputs are user selectable.

Q: Does CV-300 have any one shot outputs?
A: No, there are no one shot outputs. Outputs are NPN open collector or 9 bin binary outputs.

Q: What is the length of the camera to controller cable?
A: It is 3 meters in length.

Q: Is the camera to controller cable extendible?
A: Two different models of CV-030 cameras are available. One has 3 meter long cable and the other one is 10 meter.

Q: How do you trigger the CV with a push button?
A: Connect the push button to TRG and 0VDC. CV will get triggered every time the push button is pressed.

CV-500 Series
Q1: How many programs can be stored in the CV-500 series?
A: 16 programs along with 16 images.

Q2: What type of measurements are possible using the CV-500 series?
A: CV-500 can do Gap, Pitch, Inner / Outer diameter measurements. It can also count the number of edges in a target.

Q3: What is the response time of the CV-500?
A: Response time is 34ms.

Q4: Is it possible to represent data in mm or inches instead of pixels only?
A: Yes. CV-500 has a function called Data Calibration that can convert pixel data into inches or mm depending on whichever is needed.

Q5: How many cameras can be attached to the CV-500 series controller?
A: A maximum of two cameras can be stored.

Q6: Does the CV-500 system slow down when used with two cameras as compared to single camera operation?
A: No, speed of the camera is not reduced at all even when two cameras are used.

Q7: Can the CV-500 provide sub-pixel resolution?
A: Yes, it can provide sub-pixel resolution. Each pixel has 10 sub-pixels.

Q8: What type of interlacing is used in the CV-500 series? Interlaced or Non-Interlaced.
A: It uses Non Interlaced scanning which means that each and every pixel is read individually throughout the CCD. In Interlaced scanning every other row is scanned and the rest of data is averaged.

Q9: Is it possible to save target images from the CV-500 series in a computer?
A: Yes, users can download target images from the CV into a computer. This image is saved in .cvd or .bmp format.

Q10: What types of outputs are provided by the CV-500 series?
A: CV has NPN type outputs. CV series provides an output for each and every window. It also provides a logical OR output for all 8 windows. In addition to window outputs it provides 13 outputs to represent position data in binary format.
