What’s the background behind your department’s adoption of the NR-X Series?
The NR-X Series enables the most effective multi-data collection
For our department, as products become increasingly sophisticated and have higher added value year after year, the number of types and channels of measurement data has increased, making efficient data collection a challenge.
To address the need for comprehensive measurement of various types of data, including strain, temperature, current, and acceleration, we compared many manufacturers' products. As a result, we have adopted KEYENCE's NR-X Series, which we determine to be the measuring instrument that best satisfies our measurement personnel because of its ease of use, flexible customization based on measurement data, and compact, portable design.
So now, we have established a policy where we first collect data by using the NR-X Series.
How did your department decide to additionally adopt data-synced cameras?
Data-synced cameras enable plug-and-play real-time video and data synchronization
In recent years, our department has a growing need for recording videos and signals simultaneously in scenarios such as vehicle endurance tests. Conventionally, we spent a vast amount of time and effort manually synchronizing the videos captured using smartphones and other devices with the voltage signals generated by LED lighting, on a frame basis.
We have adopted the data-synced cameras because they enable plug-and-play real-time video and data synchronization. This allows us to significantly reduce the analysis costs and time, which had been a challenge for us.

What effects has the NR-X Series brought?
The NR-X Series improves the quality and speed of R&D cycles
The NR-X Series allows us to measure all types of data in a single device at one time, reducing the number of tests required compared to conventional methods. As a result, PDCA cycles have become shorter, thus significantly reducing the development time.
In addition, simultaneous measurement of multiple data points together with data-synced cameras allows us to analyze unexpected changes in measurement targets from multiple angles, enabling early issue identification.
The NR-X Series significantly reduces effort and time
Our department collects various types of data in order to respond to the diverse situations of customers worldwide and to verify the comprehensive quality of our tractors. The NR-X Series allows us to easily conduct multi-data measurement in any case, thus eliminating the need to have expertise for each data type.
The NR-X Series is a measuring instrument that precisely matches our department’s development style. Simply mastering its use naturally and significantly reduces the effort and time required for measurement preparation. The NR-X Series is also very helpful in training, as mastering it becomes the criterion for judging whether a new employee is fully qualified.
What’s your future plan for leveraging the NR-X Series?
The NR-X Series is crucial to us
We plan to continue leveraging the NR-X Series as a primary measurement tool for R&D in the future.
We will continuously purchase additional NR-X Series devices to respond to the growing needs arising from the introduction of new models, workforce expansion, and multi-data collection. As the NR-X Series plays a central role in our department’s policy of improving development efficiency, we will fully utilize it to accelerate product development and improve the quality.
