What is KEYENCE’s WM Series?

This KEYENCE measuring machine was developed for measuring large products. Dimension measurement with a contact probe and shape measurement with the laser scanning probe are available in a single unit. It is used in a wide range of industries, including the construction industry and manufacturing equipment as well as for measuring large items in the transportation and aviation industries.

  1. Reason 1 Single-person measurement

    Operating the system is easy, just touch the target with the probe. The touch probe makes it easy for just one person to measure large parts. The software is intuitive for not just dimensioning large parts, but also creating coordinates and inspecting GD&T elements.

  2. Reason 2 Fully wireless measurement. Both the contact and laser scanning probes can be used for wireless measurement. Large items can be measured with no need to route cables.
  3. Reason 3 Complete measurement on a handheld monitor. There is no need to go back and forth between the PC and the scanner, and the scanning status can be checked in real time.
  4. Reason 4 No pre/post-processing required for scanning. Even black or glossy objects can be scanned quickly and easily without the need for spraying or applying markers.
