What are your job responsibilities?
I am the National Product Sales Director, NPSD, in one of our Factory Automation divisions. I am primarily responsible for driving sales growth with a team of Regional Directors, Sales Managers, and Salespeople. As a team, we have a collective vision for our organization. It is my responsibility to build a plan that fits the vision, create milestones to measure success, and implement action plans designed to achieve the results. I cannot do this without the team around me. Everyone plays a part in shaping our direction.
What is your motivation for working at Keyence?

Throughout my career, I’ve always felt pushed to learn and grow professionally. I enjoy taking on complex problems and working with a team to determine the best solution to each unique problem. I am proud to work for a company that demonstrates continuous evolution. KEYENCE constantly releases new products to fit unique demands in the market, we introduce new tools to help salespeople be more effective in the field, and we have a ‘what’s next’ culture that encourages everyone to share new ideas that we can adopt. Lastly, impact. I am making an impact. When I was a salesperson, that impact helped our customers solve problems. As a manager, it was teaching salespeople how to be more effective in the field. Today, my impact is through implementing new initiatives designed to grow our business.
How would you describe our working style and culture?
Action-Based. KEYENCE puts ideas into action and our competitors cannot keep up. This is a fast-paced environment that recognizes individuals who put in the work necessary to achieve results. You’ll be surrounded by the motivated, the passionate, and the resilient. We are not a ‘bottom-line’ only organization. We put trust in our sales process, products, and people. If we have the best in those three categories, the result will follow.
How have you been successful in moving up in the organization?
Being honest with myself about my own strengths and shortcomings. We all have skillsets that make us talented and we all have areas we could improve. The first step is true self-reflection to recognize and define these areas then seek coaching from others who are strong in areas you are not. If you’re unwilling to admit your shortcomings, then you will never evolve. At KEYENCE, you’ll have an abundance of resources and be surrounded by individuals who want to help. All you have to do is reach out. I’ve been successful because I reach out, learn from others, and apply their coaching.
Any message you would share to prospective applicants?
Pretty simple; APPLY! I hesitated to apply to KEYENCE because I didn’t know the company and I was unsure if the job was for me. Ultimately, I decided to give it a shot, and I haven’t looked back since. Once you’re in the door, you’ll quickly see this is a very special organization with incredible growth opportunity.
