The vision system can inspect the surface of battery housing.

A backlight is positioned on the bottom of the housing to light the side the target while the camera acquires the image at an angle. Shade variations from to the curved surface of the housing are cancelled with the real-time Shade Correction filter allowing for only the flaws to be detected.


Conventional defect detection tools cannot eliminate the influence of glare on the surface of a target resulting in false rejects of parts. The XG Series Real Time Shade Correction filter removes glare and shade gradations on the housing surface in order to detect only the dents and flaws as defects.
