Camshaft mold cavity inspections

Camshaft mold cavity inspections

Detecting surface mold cavities on rotating cam shafts.

When inspecting cams, the specular reflection region changes with the rotary position of the shaft. The XG Series can support complex shapes by sending the rotary angle information from the rotary shaft's servo to the machine vision equipment's memory. Therefore, parts can be inspected with a specified region that changes depending on certain conditions.

Benefit

Mold cavities were previously inspected by visually checking each part. This resulted in undetected flaws and high costs associated with the inspection. Machine vision equipment now reliably inspects all parts and has lowered inspection costs.
