Servo System SV3 series
New Next-Generation EtherCAT® Servo System with a Battery-Free Design
The SV3 Series servo system supports EtherCAT®, a globally popular Ethernet protocol. To enhance next-generation machine performance, the motor features a 26-bit encoder resolution and a maximum rotation speed of 7,000 RPM—representing 16× and 1.2× improvements over the previous generation, respectively. The servo drive response frequency has been increased by 1.2× to 3.1 kHz, further boosting high-precision performance. When paired with a KEYENCE KV-X Series PLC, the SV3 Series enables high-speed tracking with 62.5 µs communication cycles, allowing for faster takt times and improved accuracy. Maintenance efforts are reduced by eliminating batteries, and the drive provides predictive lifecycle information to support preventative maintenance efforts.

Features
Ultra-High-Speed Servo for Enhanced Equipment Performance
Better Tracking with 3.1 kHz Velocity Frequency Response
Response time has been increased to 3.1 kHz—1.2 times faster than previous models. This improves tracking while positioning and allows rapid adjustments to external disturbances.
62.5 µs Control Calculation Cycle
EtherCAT® support enables incredibly precise motion control with ultra-high-speed communication, with detailed commands increasing positioning accuracy and smoothing motion.
26-bit Encoder for Increased Accuracy
At 26 bits, encoder resolution is 16 times higher than conventional models, with about 67 million pulses per revolution. This allows for smoother movements and highly-precise stops.
Battery-Free for Simplified Servicing
Reduced Battery Costs—From Purchasing and Replacement to Inventory Management
The battery-free design significantly reduces costs by minimizing the time spent on periodic battery replacement and reducing inventory needs. Batteries and battery-specific cables no longer need to occupy valuable shelf space.
