OCR and character depth inspection on motor cases

The LJ-S8000 Series 3D Laser Snapshot Sensor can recognize characters engraved on motor cases. With conventional vision sensors, character recognition (OCR) on curved or non-uniform target surfaces can be difficult. With the LJ-S8000 Series, however, height information is used to generate 3D images for OCR, allowing for stable reading even for uneven or contaminated surfaces.
