Stratum corneum adhesive tape stripping (stratum corneum area and stratified area ratio)

Corneocytes, the cells that make up the stratum corneum, can be removed using adhesive tape stripping; the morphology of the cells can then be analyzed with a microscope. This enables evaluation of skin conditions by checking how turnover has progressed with different treatments. Conventionally, these measurements are done manually and the process is time-intensive. This makes it difficult to analyze a large volume of samples for reliability.
Using the All-in-One Fluorescence Microscope BZ-X Series, Hybrid Cell Count can detect and separate adjacent cells to count them individually.
