Visualizing the α and ß cells of the islets of Langerhans

α and ß cells are responsible for the secretion of glucagon and insulin, hormones used for the raising and lowering of blood sugar, respectively, in the pancreas. The distribution of these cells can be visualized by taking an overall view of the islets of Langerhans.
Using the All-in-One Fluorescence Microscope BZ-X Series, for large areas that cannot be seen within a single field-of-view, a motorized XY stage can capture and stitch together the entire region of interest in high resolution.
