Smart Cushion Valve
SP-C series
-
Reduce Cycle Time with Pneumatics
-
Easily Incorporate into Existing Setup
-
Prevent Damages to Machine, Cylinder, and Product
The Smart Cushion Valve increases cylinder speed while also mitigating impact. This is achieved by communicating with the linear cylinder sensor to identify piston position and switching between two internal flow paths. Impact is mitigated by decelerating the piston prior to impact. The Automatic Stroke Control (ASC) function automatically corrects cushion start position as speed fluctuates due to external causes. Setup is done step by step to make the integration process quick and easy. Impact level and stroke time can be viewed readily on the display to see real time changes in the system to ensure lasting operation.

Features
Increase Cylinder Speed Without Destructive Impact
Reduces Impact by Switching Between High-Speed and Deceleration Flow Paths
The valve has two internal flow paths. Using piston position from the CS Linear Cylinder Sensor, it automatically switches between the high-speed flow path and deceleration flow path. This allows the cylinder to slow down just before impact, providing stable shock absorption without mechanical wear and tear.
Switches between the high-speed flow path and deceleration flow path
Utilize in conjunction with the cylinder sensor
Simple 4-Step Set Up
Equipped with onboard configuration, set-up is easily done with a 4-step process on the display of the SP-C. No external license or software is required.
Reduce Cycle Time with Pneumatics
Increase the speed at which the cylinder operates to shave off cycle time without concern of damage to the machine, cylinder or product. Adjustable thresholds for deceleration allows for complete control.
Conventional model
The impact becomes larger, so the speed cannot be fully increased.
Smart Cushion Valve
Increases the speed of cylinder operations and achieves stable impact mitigation.
Long Term Durability
Shock absorbers are commonly used and are easily damaged and broken over time with wear and tear. Utilizing air cushioning, no parts or hardware are required to take the brunt of the force.
Pursuing the Ideal Form of Shock Mitigation
Easily Incorporate into Existing Set-Up
The SP-C can be an afterthought because it integrates between existing valves and cylinders, only requiring a KEYENCE CS-L Series cylinder sensor.
Prevent Machine, Cylinder, and Product Damage
Common issues that come with slamming of cylinders can be automatically corrected with the “soft close” concept of decelerating at the stroke’s finish.
Versatile Installation
The Smart Cushion Valve can be installed in any direction, allowing for flexibility of position and mounting requirements on the machine.
