I want to display a keyboard for entering text.

This section explains how to display a keyboard for entering text.
Create a global window in which a keyboard for entering text is placed, and then configure the settings so this global window is displayed when the text input part is tapped.

Creating the keyboard

1. Click “Global window” -> “New screen.” The [New screen] dialog box is displayed. Specify the Window No., and then click [OK].

2. From the menu, select [View] -> [Parts catalog] to display the part catalog for selecting the keyboard.

3. In the part catalog, select [Select] -> [Parts] -> [Keyboard], and then select the type of keyboard you want to use.

4. Arrange the keyboard just by dragging and dropping it from the part catalog. Adjust the position and size as necessary.

Setting the text display part

5. Configure the settings so the global window in which the keyboard has been placed is displayed when the text display part is tapped.
From the menu, select [Parts] -> [Basic parts] -> [Text display], and then place a text display part on the base screen.

6. Open the text display part settings, configure the settings on the “Key/Barcode entry” tab as follows, and then click [Settings].

7. Specify the window number of the global window in which a keyboard for entering text has been placed.

8. When the text display part is tapped, the created keyboard is displayed.

To hide the keyboard when the [Enter] key is pressed, see the following settings.
