How to place value display parts
The date and time are stored in memory areas known as internal devices on the VT5, so display the date and time by displaying the values of these internal devices with value display parts.
The VT5 time information is stored in the following areas of internal devices (MW).
- MW0010: year (00 to 99 indicating the last two digits of the year in the western calendar)
- MW0011: month
- MW0012: day
- MW0018: hour
- MW0019: minute
- MW001A: second
Set value display parts for displaying these values.
1. From the menu, select [Parts] -> [Basic parts] -> [Numerical value display], and then drag a value display part to place it on the screen.

2. Double-click the placed value display part, and then set it as shown below.
- Reference word device: MW0010
- Number of display digits: 2
- Suffix: / (slash)

3. Switch to the “Key entry” tab and clear the “Key entry” check box.

4. Click [OK] to place the following value display part.

5. Set the remaining month, day, hour, minute, and second parts.
